What the student receives in one-to-one lessons

  • materials matched to the level and topic, rather than one coursebook for everyone
  • individual feedback after the lesson
  • a plan for further work, updated as the student progresses

Questions about one-to-one lessons

What students and parents ask

  • What does the first individual lesson look like?

The first lesson is free of charge and lasts 30 minutes. It gives us time to get to know the student, discuss their needs and goals, and make an initial assessment of their English level. This allows us to recommend the right approach and tailor future lessons to the individual learner.

  • Who are individual lessons for?

They are suitable for children, teenagers and adults who want to learn at their own pace and focus on specific goals. Individual lessons work well for regular language learning as well as for school support, exam preparation, developing speaking skills or catching up on missed material.

  • Is the lesson programme tailored to the student?

Yes. The content, pace and type of activities are adapted to the student's level, age, needs and goals. We do not use one fixed plan for everyone – the learning programme can be adjusted as the student progresses.

  • Can individual lessons prepare a student for a specific exam or school test?

Yes. Lessons can include preparation for Cambridge English exams, the Polish eighth-grade exam, the Matura exam, school tests or other specific language goals. In these cases, we focus both on developing overall English skills and on the abilities needed for particular task types.

  • How often should individual lessons take place?

We usually recommend regular lessons once or twice a week, as consistent contact with English helps maintain continuity and makes progress easier to see. The frequency can also be adapted to the student's goals, schedule and individual needs.
