Educational package

What the student receives with the course

  • a coursebook and workbook: Super Minds or Power Up in the Standard variant, Own It! Shining Lights or Gold Experience in Intensive
  • access to Cambridge One or a platform linked to the course materials
  • audio and video recordings and tasks linked to the material covered in class
  • tests and progress reports, and additional exam practice in the Intensive variant

Key benefits

What the Master Steps programme gives

  • Balanced skills

Speaking, listening, reading and writing develop together, not at each other's cost.

  • A level matched to the student

We match the group to actual skills rather than to the year of birth.

  • An exam pathway

At the appropriate levels the course covers Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers, and later builds foundations for B2 First and C1 Advanced.

  • Continuation or a fresh start

The programme works both as a next stage after Teddy Eddie and as a start with us.

Questions about Master Steps

What parents of primary students ask

  • What is the difference between Master Steps Standard and Master Steps Intensive?

Both options develop all language skills and guide students through successive CEFR levels. Intensive offers greater learning intensity and faster progression, so the best choice depends on the student's current level, goals and ability to work regularly.

  • Can a student join Master Steps after studying at another school?

Yes. Before enrolment, we assess the student's level so that we can place them in a group where the material is both achievable and appropriately challenging.

  • Does Master Steps prepare students for Cambridge exams?

Yes. We develop all the language skills required at successive CEFR levels, while Cambridge exam preparation is gradually incorporated into the learning pathway.

  • Does the course also prepare students for the Polish eighth-grade exam?

Yes. The skills developed in Master Steps cover the areas needed for the eighth-grade exam. However, the course goes beyond preparation for a single school exam – our aim is to build genuine, practical language competence.

  • How do I know which Master Steps level is right for my child?

We do not expect parents to make that decision on their own. Before the course begins, we assess the student's level and recommend the most suitable group and course option.
